Modernization & Combining of Two Existing Ranges

Location: Fort Hood, TX
Client: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District

The Digital Multipurpose Range Complex (DMPRC) establishes the standard for training the Force XXI digital force including the Army After Next (AAN). The design culminates the DMPRC ORD, NGATS ORD, STRICOM Performance Specification and CEHNC Guide to provide live fire and simulation training exercises for all digital and analog platforms. New technology infiltrated the design by using fiber optic cable to all target emplacements and FLIR cameras, developing NGATS emplacement details, developing a single point command and control center capable of interfacing with FBCB2, and gathering all range, target and platform data to provide range safety and comprehensive AAR.
