This project involved the design
for a new integrated live-fire range complex for 1st Battalion, 1st
Special Forces Group (Airborne) on Camp Hansen, Okinawa. The new
live-fire range complex consist of a 180-degree shoot house with
rappel tower, a breaching bay, and a 10-land known distance sniper
marksmanship range. To gain and maintain proficiency in Special Forces
Advanced Urban Combat (SFAUC), the unit needed to conduct daily
training in facilities with the capability of supporting combat
marksmanship, known distance sniper marksmanship, explosive and
ballistic breaching, multi-floor live-fire close quarters combat,
rappelling, high-angle sniper marksmanship, linear target live-fire
close quarters combat, vehicular and air assaults, and open-air
live-fire integrated assaults. |
