The City of Abbeville
and Polyengineering teamed up to give the downtown area a new look.
Polyengineering provided preliminary cost estimates which served as
the basis for achieving grant funding. Work in which Polyengineering
designed and performed construction observation
services included
milling of existing asphalt, street resurfacing, removal and
replacement of retaining walls removal and replacement of sidewalks,
pavement striping, installation of a new a water main and fire
hydrants, installation of new grass sod, and a sprinkler system. All
of these construction activities had to be coordinated with the power
rerouting, pole removal, and decorative lighting installation.
