Polyengineering Selected to Design $22 Million Military Project
Dothan, AL (January 11, 2002) - Polyengineering, Inc., Dothan’s largest engineering firm was recently selected to design a $22 Million contract with the U.S. Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth Division to design a Digital Multi-Purpose Battle Area Course at Fort Polk, Louisiana. The battle course will provide a modern day training ground for U.S. military soldiers manning various armored vehicles including tanks, Bradley Fighting Vehicles and helicopters. The military division of Polyengineering continues to be a global competitor being recently selected to design an $8 Million military training complex in Okinawa, Japan. Under the leadership of Lamar Faulk, Chairman of the Board, Polyengineering, Inc. has carved out a military niche earning the reputation throughout the U.S. Armed Forces as being the leading designers of military training ranges. Polyengineering Inc. has set the design standard in state-of-the-art military training complexes; this standard is used throughout the Army as new training complexes are being conceived. The $22 Million Fort Polk, Louisiana project is in the conception stage and will be a future training ground to many U.S. soldiers sharpening their skills for active combat. One of their award-winning projects, Zussman Mounted Urban Combat Training Site at Fort Knox, Kentucky was the first digital training range constructed in the U.S. Located on 26 acres of rocky wilderness, the training complex resembles a foreign city and hosts training exercises for company / battalion task forces using heavy armor.
